If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency please call 911.
Star Valley Medical Center offers comprehensive emergency room services 24 hours a day, 356 days a year. Our goal is to provide our patients with compassionate, quality health care. Over 4000 patients receive care in our emergency room every year.
SVMC’s emergency room is staffed by board-certified physicians, highly-trained nurses, and EMT/CNA support. As a Level IV Trauma Center, Star Valley Medical Center has met stringent criteria for providing comprehensive care for trauma patients, and all team members have met advanced life saving training as outlined by the state of Wyoming.
Upon your arrival to the ER, the nurse will be assessing your medical condition to allow our medical team to better understand your medical condition, treatment needs and/or recommendation for referral based on the severity of your illness or injury. Due to the nature of emergencies, those patients with life-threatening illness or injury will be treated first, even if you arrived before that individual. Please understand that waiting periods can occur in the emergency room.
