About the Auxiliary
Volunteering at Star Valley Medical Center has been a long standing tradition. Our Auxiliary members work alongside hospital staff and are involved in almost every department. As the primary health care facility in north Lincoln County, the hospital auxiliary program provides an excellent outlet for community service.
The SVMC Auxiliary has played a key role in patient care at SVMC since its inception in 1996. This team of enthusiastic women and men truly represent the SVMC mission, to provide our community with compassionate, quality health care. You can find Auxiliary members assisting throughout the hospital and care center. In addition, this group holds many fundraising events to assist the medical center. Its numerous contributions have touched the lives of hundreds of patients and their families. The Auxiliary operates the hospital gift shop, Gifts of Joy, as its main fundraiser, with profits returned to the hospital to purchase needed equipment and services.
Volunteer opportunities currently include assisting with health fairs, blanket service day, and Brake for Breakfast, in addition to staffing these permanent workstations:
Gift Shop – Gifts of Joy
Family Waiting Area
Community Education Events
General Clerical Duties
Central Supply Assistance
If you are at least 18 years of age and interested in joining the volunteer auxiliary click here. Every effort is made to place volunteers in areas that will use their abilities, meet their goals and fit their schedules. Volunteers supplement, but do not replace the work of paid staff. Assignments are conditional upon the volunteer’s health, performance and satisfaction with the assignment. As well as continued need for the service.
