2015 Capital Campaign for the SVMC Charitable Foundation -

Star Valley Medical Center continues to strive to provide quality and compassionate health care to those who visit our campuses’. As the health care needs and desires of our community continue to increase, SVMC is growing our services and facilities to meet those needs. One service the Medical Center is expanding is the addition of an OB/GYN. Dr. Amy Tomlinson will start seeing patients on July 21, 2014 and will bring her years of experience focusing on women’s health to our communities as well as supporting our Family Practice providers with obstetric care. Charlie Button, SVMC CEO, said “adding Dr. Tomlinson to our staff will allow women in the community to receive the quality women’s care they want and deserve right here at home.”
To demonstrate SVMC’s commitment to women’s services and to enhance the OB experience, the Foundation has been asked to focus our 2015 Capital Campaign on raising $60,000 to renovate the labor & delivery rooms and nursery in our facility. The renovation will include new flooring, updated wall and window coverings, new furniture and needed medical equipment. One of the biggest joys in life is the miracle of birth, and the experience will be remembered for year to come. We want to provide you with the best care possible in a comforting, relaxing, and supportive atmosphere.
To ensure that your donations are used carefully and efficiently, SVMC sent a contingency of nursing staff, leadership, NLCHD Board members, and a Foundation liaison to visit some of the new women’s health centers in the region, in order to glean ideas and best practices. These ideas will not only help as a guide for our Labor & Delivery/Nursery renovations but for future possibilities as Dr. Tomlinson’s practice grows.
The construction of our new and remodeled Emergency and Surgery Departments is underway and is on schedule and within budget. The Foundation continues to work on its goal of raising $500,000 towards the construction and purchase of equipment for this project. We should see both of these departments open and in use late fall 2015.
Star Valley Medical Center Charitable Foundation is grateful for your past support and look towards your continued gifts and donations. For further information about these two campaigns, the Foundation or to schedule a tour of the medical center please contact our Foundation Executive Director Joel Johnson, 307-885-5950 or jjohnson@svmcwy.org. You may also clink on the below Donate icon to make your tax deductible contribution at this time.
