Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid Class
Cost: $60 Send in online enrollment form below. Fee must be paid in person to the business office at Star Valley Medical Center (Pam or Patty) at least one week before class. Books will be issued when payment is received.
This class is taught by American Heart Association certified healthcare professionals and covers adult and infant/child CPR, obstructed airway, the Heimlich maneuver, the use of a barrier device, and AED hands-on training. The first aid portion teaches individuals how to manage an injury or illness until professional help arrives. Includes first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies. This class is recommended for emergency response teams, safety personnel, construction workers, etc. The course includes a textbook and certification card. Please review book. Certification cards will be mailed 4 to 8 weeks after completion of the course. Certificates of completion available upon request.

The first aid portion teaches individuals to manage a pediatric injury or illness until professional help arrives. Includes first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies (which are designed to meet regulations for daycare centers). This class is recommended for parents, grandparents, cub scout/girl scout leaders, daycare providers and preschool teachers. The course includes a textbook and certification card. Please review book. Certification cards will be mailed 4 to 8 weeks after completion of the course. Certificates of completion available upon request.
