Our Care Center opened in October 1997. The Star Valley Care Center is a 24 bed intermediate care facility providing non-skilled nursing care to residents in the local community.

Built on the belief that the individual human life has immeasurable value, the facility began early to earn its reputation for excellence.

Star Valley Care Center has continued to grow and change from those early years. However, our commitment to quality care for persons in need of long term care has never wavered.

Long Term Care - A Holistic Approach

We embrace a holistic approach to elder care emphasizing the mind, body and spirit connection. We believe in treating all aspects of the person including their physical, psychological, social, recreational and spiritual needs.

Long Term Care Service

Every member of the Star Valley Care Center team is committed to creating a fulfilling future for the people we serve by welcoming them into our family and ensuring that each resident maintains the highest optimal level of functioning. Guided by our Core Values, which reflect the facility's history, mission and beliefs, employees are passionate about caring for our residents.

These values: To Foster compassion, respect and dignity; To succeed through Superior Service; To meet the diverse needs of our community; and To attract and retain exceptional individuals. We recognize the importance of each value independently and as part of the whole.

Long Term Care Knowledge

Our expert interdisciplinary team includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, registered dietitians, physical, occupational, speech and recreation therapists, psychologists, restorative aides and spiritual care advisors, as well as, many people who serve in support roles such as food service, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance.

At Star Valley Care Center, direct care staff is trained using the "Best Friends Approach to Care." This approach is most commonly used with those with Alzheimer's or dementia, however, its basis is universal. A "Best Friend" is a family member, friend or member of the resident's care team who empathizes with the resident's situation, remains loving, positive and dedicated to ensuring the resident has a sense of security and value. Staff members get to know each resident's life story, preferences and interests in order to better enhance and personalize the resident's experience.

Long Term Care Joy

We offer a welcoming atmosphere filled with warm, abundant light and many windows which draw natural light and create a space which brings the outdoors in. Each of the spacious rooms has a large picture window with scenic views of the campus and courtyards. Wide hallways and large community areas create environments perfect for engaging in social interactions.

Peer and community involvement play an important role in a fulfilling life at Star Valley Care Center. Residents share stories, participate in group activities and enjoy a meal in our well-appointed, communal areas. Daily activities are designed with each resident's needs and interests in mind. Residents and recreation therapists collaborate to organize special events, group activities and community outings.

Long Term Care Comfort

Star Valley Care Center is more than just a long term care facility to its residents -- it's home. The expansive campus provides the expertise of rehabilitation professionals. In addition, we feature an on-site lab and pharmacy, worship services, and salon with beauty and barber services. Transportation services are provided for group outings and can be arranged for medical appointments. Professional nursing care is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and gathering rooms for reunions and/or parties are available to residents and their families at no additional charge. Assistive technology is available to help residents with limited mobility or muscle function increase their computer skills. Extracurricular activities are as limitless as the imagination.

Long Term Care Respect

Seeking quality and trustworthy care can be an overwhelming task. Family members have told us that until they learned about Star Valley Care Center's services, they didn't feel like a well-informed decision could be made. While some care centers claim to provide similar long term services, ours is the only facility with the history, exceptional skilled care, and compassion of our team; which makes the difference and therefore, we have a continuous waiting list of new residents desiring to live with us.

Selecting a reliable and excellent care setting for your loved one is a difficult decision. We promise to be straightforward about what you can expect to pay for our services and will make sure all of your questions and concerns are addressed.
